An excellent example of a rare to market Bob ‘Wrenman’ Hunter Oak Standard Lamp, Bob being the last craftsman alive to have started his training under Robert Thompson himself and still working from his home and adjoining workshop in Thirlby, together with his Son’s and Grandson. Bob’s carving and attention to the finest details is exceptional, and his wren carving is exquisite.

Wonderful original condition with brass fittings and 3 core earthed wiring.

Buyers should be wary of other carved wrens on furniture not by Bob Hunter, but by a Nottinghamshire based carftsman….. they are often miss-sold by auction houses, dealers and private sellers alike.
