An impressive 8′ solid oak refectory style dining table, circa 1980s, by the Acorn Industries (Alan Grainger) trained “Yorkshire Critters’ craftsman Derek ‘Lizardman’ Slater of Crayke, near Easingwold. Features a thick planed four plank top supported on four octagonally carved legs joined by a floor level stretcher with a chamfered edge and a pair of sledge feet. Derek’s signature lizard is carved in high relief to one leg. Derek’s earlier solo work featured a fish carving.
It presents in impressively good original unrestored condition with a uniform medium oak finish and just minor usage marks on the table top surface.
We’ve unscrewed the top from the leg framework to aid transport and ensure it fits through doorways.
Superb value for the money if you are in the market for a larger sized family dining table.
