An excellent Horace Knight ‘Knightman’ oak dining table from the Old Mill Furniture workshop, Balk near Thirsk. 3’3″ wide of rectangular form, adzed, panelled and pinned all over with two drawers over a two door cupboard with traditional wrought iron door and drawer fittings. His signature knight is carved in relief to the upper front right framework.

It presents in excellent condition and colour, newly cleaned and clear waxed over its original polyurethane and stain/heat resistant finish. There’s just the slightest of usage indents in the top which are shown in the image gallery below.

Purchased privately from the original owners family in North Yorkshire, it’s superb value if you’re looking for a smaller sized sideboard.

Horace founded his business in 1984 after he formerly trained and worked with the well known ex mouseman craftsman Sid Pollard. Now a family business it continues to trade following Horace’s death, in the hands of his son Jeremy.
