Circa 1970s

The only example we've seen come to  the market of an Albert 'Eagleman' Jeffray  6" Oak Trinket Box, making it a much rarer piece than the very popular Mouseman equivalent.  Carved from a single solid block of oak it features adzed tooling all over, internally and externally, with a detailed carved yorkshire rose incised into the hinged lid and baize lining to the underside. Excellent condition with a wonderful rich medium fumed colour.

A very rare  and wonderfully carved oak Horseshoe Ashtray from former mouseman craftsman Albert 'Eagleman' Jeffray. Baize lined to the underside it presents in exceptional condition with a warm medium colour.

Circa 1980

An excellent two tier oak Serving Trolley from ex Mouseman craftsman Albert 'Eagleman' Jeffray of Sessay, near Thirsk. Of typical  rectangular form  with two adzed shelves supported on four corner legs and castors, his signature eagle incised in the end of the lower shelf. Medium oak fumed.

An excellent example of handcrafted  solid oak 4'10" wide Sideboard by the ex mouseman craftsman Albert 'Eagleman' Jeffray of Sessay near Thirsk. Subtly adzed to all visible areas, including the top, front /side panels and the drawer fronts. Features  a rear upstand at the rear of the top, a bank of three drawers  and a pair of twin panelled doors below which open fully to reveal inner storage shelving. Albert's signature eagle is carved to the lower side rail.

Fully cleaned and re-waxed in our workshop it presents in excellent stain free condition.

Purchased directly from the original owners family together with a dining set, a copy of the original order and invoice is available to the purchaser.

An excellent and  very rare  example of a bespoke  commissioned extending draw-leaf Dining Table handcrafted by the ex mouseman craftsman Albert 'Eagleman' Jeffray of Sessay near Thirsk.  5'6" in standard form extending to 8'6" for those special occasions when additional space is required. None of the Yorkshire craftsmen have ever produced draw-leaf extending tables as standard stock pieces, they've only been made to client commission. Rarer still, this piece has been designed and made in the typical refectory style favoured by purchasers, with the adzed rectangular top supported on twin baluster carved legs  and  feet, joined by a lower stretcher. The only other bespoke examples we've seen have been made with a  four corner leg design. A copy of the original order and invoice confirms it was made in 1985, together with a 4'10" sideboard we've also purchased, all directly from the original owners family. Albert's trademark eagle carved to the lower leg.

The table presents in excellent condition with wonderful natural oak graining. We've stripped, cleaned, re-sealed and waxed it.

Complimented by a set of six oak dining chairs with handcarved Tudor / Yorkshire rose back splats and leather upholstery. The frames have been cleaned and re-waxed, the original leather upholstery cleaned, conditioned and with excellent underfoam and webbing. Eached chair carved with Albert's trademark eagle.

A superb and rarely seen on the market solid oak Magazine Rack by the ex Mouseman craftsman Albert 'Eagleman' Jeffray of Sessay, near Thirsk. Of rectangular shaped form with a central divide and carrying handle. Adzed all over with Alberts trademark eagle incised to one end. Excellent condition, medium fumed and waxed condition.

Circa 1970s

A superb  4'10" wide x 6'3" tall solid oak Welsh Dresser from the former mouseman craftsman Albert 'Eagleman' Jeffray of Sessay near Thirsk. Adzed all over, the upper display shelved rack is detachable from the lower sideboard for transport. Three fixed flat shelves with twin grooves  cut into them allows for the display of plates and other treasured ornaments or photographs. The lower sideboard with three upper drawers, one fitted out and lined for cutlery, with shelved cupboards below, all with traditional wrought iron fittings. 

Privately sourced directly from the original Scottish owners it presents in superb condition and medium  colour and has been sypathetically cleaned and wax polished in our workshop prior to sale. Exceptionally clean interior, the shelves having been paper lined from new by the original owners.

An excellent glazed and leaded wall hanging oak Corner Display Cabinet from the ex mouseman craftsman Albert 'Eagleman' Jeffray of Sessay, Nr Thirsk.  Adzed to all visible surfaces including the panels, two fitted oak shelves, wrought iron door fittings.  Albert's trademark Eagle is  incised to the lower front canted side. Complete with lock and key, an underside  fixing bracket and screw fixings.

Wonderful medium fumed  colour.

A superb bespoke commissioned 5' oak Welsh Dresser from the ex mouseman craftsman Albert 'Eagleman' Jeffray of Sessay, Nr Thirsk.  Adzed to all visible surfaces, the detatchable upper section features three fixed shelves and a lockable cupboard with carved tudor rose and new lock and keys. The lower sideboard section features three drawers over four panelled cupboard doors, all with tudor rose carved handles, and shelving within. Albert's trademark incised eagle is carved to the  side of the upper section. Complete with the original sales invoice.

The piece presents in superb condition  and medium fumed colour following a clean and wax in our workshop.
