Circa early 80’s

An early example of his work under his own name. Glazed and leaded upper display cabinet with single door and 3 inner glass shelves. Below is a single doored cupboard with inner shelf, unusual as the multi panelled inlays are  of the rarer and more expensive  burred oak. All the outer woodwork is adzed and the fittings are in wrought iron. Signature foxes head incised into the  top right of the cupboard section. Superb condition and colour.

Size: 65(w) x 189(h) cm

Malcolm is a ‘Mouseman’ trained craftsman who left in 1981 to set up his own workshop in Carlton Husthwaite. He is still working there, inspite of a horrific workshop accident in Feb 2009 which saw him severe his hand. Fortunately prompt medical attention saved his hand.
