Robert Thompson ‘Mouseman’ 10” Early Oak Fruitbowl

Stock ref: DS1467

Circa 1950s

A sought after early 10" diameter Mouseman Fruitbowl, adzed and tooled all over, with the mouse carved  characteristically to the outer edge.  In original family ownership until our acquisition it has only ever  been used as a display piece and  presents with wonderful graining and in a stain free condition. Dark fumed from new,  and following a fresh polish with clear wax, it presents with a rich deep chestnut brown colour and patina. There is a small natural burr on the lip of the bowl shown in detail in the image gallery below. Present from new and never filled as the  graining and pores can be seen running through it. Competitively priced to take account of this natural minor blemish.

Size: 25.5(dia) x 7.5(h) cm
