Yorkshire Oak Fire Screen

Stock ref: DS1440

Circa 1960s

A wonderful example of a glass fronted Yorkshire oak framed fire screen  with an inlaid wool tapestry of a country windmill scene, shaped wooden handle to the top and traditional visible pinned construction.   The back panel is  solid oak and has been recently fitted by our ex mouseman restorer to replace a deteriorating original hardboard back.  Well constructed it is  unmarked and may well be Sid Pollard's work  as we have seen him use hardboard backs on similar work before, but we cannot confirm this.Excellent waxed condition and colour.

Size: 53(w) x 15.5(d) x 85(h)cm

£ 135, previously £160.
