An excellent example of the popular Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson fruit bowl, circa 1970s / early 80s. 10 3/4″ diameter, it’s more unusual than is generally seen as one side of the bowl is beautifully figured naturally with burr oak. Adzed and tooled to the interior and exterior of the bowl with an excellent high backed signature carved mouse in high relief to the centre of the bowl.

Excellent waxed condition and colour, light minor staining from the original owners use. As is always to be expected the burr oak has visible natural cracking but there is no evidence of any faults or losses with the bowl. Privately sourced from the original owning family.
