An excellent example of the sought after early 5″ x 4″ Robert ‘Mouseman ‘ Thompson oak double pin tray / dish, circa 1930s/40s. Lovely quarter sawn oak medullary ray graining visible on the surface and the twin carved dishes with an excellent early signature high backed mouse to the middle.

Darker fumed from new it presents with a beautifully rich brown toned colour and aged patina, just a small chip loss to one ear of the mouse carving which is shown in detail in the image gallery.
