An excellent example of the solid oak Robert Thompson ‘Mouseman’ craft / hobby workbox. Features an adzed hinged top with pinned cleated ends which lifts to reveal an open storage area. Adzed framework and drawer front in line with period craftsmanship and with panelled sides, front and rear. Below is a compartmentalised drawer with the rarer two wooden knob handle. It stands on four octagonally carved legs one of which features an excellent trademark signature mouse.

Wonderful medium fumed aged colour and patina, just some very light usage marks visible on the lid on very close inspection. We’ve cleaned and clear wax polished the piece.
