Robert Thompson ‘Mouseman’ Set of 4 Oak Dining Chairs, 1960s/70

An excellent matching set of the highly popular oak and leather lattice backed dining chairs from Robert Thompson ‘Mouseman’, circa 1960s / early 70s.

Refurbished at Robert Thompson’s Craftsmen Ltd in 2017 with cleaned and waxed frames, new underfoam and modern butterscotch leather upholstery. The original webbing was tightened and re-used ,and the dated fire safety labels added. The seats hardly look sat on at all since this work was undertaken.

They present excellently, the wood joints are all tight and the wood wonderfully clear waxed and with an aged medium fumed colour. Superbly detailed and all matching mice, confirming all the chairs were made by the same craftsman.

We’d prefer to sell them as a set of 4, but will consider splitting them into 2 sets of 2 each.

This set would cost £ 4,750 to purchase new today and involve a lengthy lead time.
