Stock ref: DS1822-1

Circa 1990

An excellent 3 branch oak Ceiling Chandelier from Alan ‘Acornman’ Grainger who’s business, founded in 1957, traded as Acorn Industries in Brandsby until the final family member retired in 2005.

This is one of several Acornman and Kingpost ceiling chandeliers we have acquired privately from the original owners family which were purchased at various times, the earliest in the 1950s, through to this most recent example which dates to circa 1990. It features a 3 branch light fitting with gently curved arms connecting centrally to a hexagonal central hub with a signature carved acorn to one facet.  A hexagonal central column rises, to which is fitted a wrought iron hanging chain and octagonal oak ceiling rose. Being of relatively modern manufacture it retains its original modern 3 core wiring and earthed brass fittings, and is ready to connect and use.

It differs only very slightly from the other earlier made examples we also have for sale in that the  branch arms are gently curved on these later examples, the arms are flatter carved on the earlier made examples.

It’s offered individually but can also be purchased together with any of the other earlier Acorn or Kingpost examples.

Size: 52(dia) x 24 to 55(h) max incl chain and ceiling rose.
