A rare and unusual to find Walnut Ashtray from the  Acorn Industries workshops of Alan ‘Acornman’ Grainger. Acorn Industries were one of the few Yorkshire craftsmen to produce a range of items in walnut and mahogany, although the vast majority of their output was in oak.  Acorn ashtrays are quite rare to market anyway, even in oak, but this is the first example  we have acquired in walnut.  Excellent condition with the graining and warm colour that is typical of waxed walnut.
