Colin ‘Beaverman’ Almack Oak Spinning Chair

Stock ref: DS1932

1981

A superb example of an Oak Spinning Chair from the Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe workshop of Colin ‘Beaverman Almack,   one of a small number made in 1981 to celebrate the wedding of Charles & Diana. They differ from their normal spinning chairs in that they feature a heavily carved  and dated back splat, known to have been handcarved by Bob Hunter, before be established his own  ‘wren’ trademark.

The chair presents in excellent structural and cosmetic condition, purchased privately from clients we’ve known for a number of years.

Both Beaver and Wren Furniture continue to produce these chairs today, although any carving to the back splat is charged as an extra depending on the complexity of the design required.

Size: 42.5(w) x 53.5(d) x 90.5(h)cm
