Circa 1970s

A superb solid oak Spinning Chair from the ‘Yorkshire Critters’ craftsman Derek Slater of Crayke whose early solo work is carved with a fish, later pieces with a lizard. The slender shaped chair back with Arts &Crafts inspired heart shaped pierced back, the shaped seat supported by four octagonally carved and tapered legs joined by stretchers. 

Superb condition with a medium honey colour and solid joints.

Size: 40(w) x 41(d) x 88.5(h)cm. Seat height 44.5cm.
