An excellent example of a handcarved Horseshoe Pin Dish by the ex Mouseman craftsman Malcolm ‘Foxman’ Pipes of Carleton Husthwaite, near Thirsk.

Excellent condition, darker fumed colour, display use only with no faults or losses. 

Malcolm trained at Robert Thompson’s in the 1960s and is best known for making many of their longcase clocks, a personal passion for him. He established his own workshop in 1983 where he adopted the fox signature previously used by Don Craven who had retired in the 1970s. Malcolm continued to work until he retired fairly recently.
