Circa late 1940s/50s
Versatile and beautifully aged and patinated solid English oak dropleaf gateleg table from the workshops of Kingpost Woodwork who traded until the late 50s from Burton Leonard, near Harrogate. Rectangular form each top section featuring three fox tongue
jointed planks with extensive adzing to the top, apron and legs and the typical exposed dowel pin joints. The trademark Kingpost roof beam signature is incised centrally onto the central apron.
Wonderful solid condition with a lovely depth of colour with a few minor surface marks commensurate with its age and normal usage.
