Circa late 1980s

An excellent adzed oak Glazed Corner Display Cabinet from ex mouseman craftsman Malcolm ‘Foxman’ Pipes. Fully adzed to the frame and panels, in line with early mouseman craftmanship, featuring the traditional penny moulded frieze top with a lockable,  leaded and glazed panelled display cupboard with three internal glass shelves. Below is a panelled cupboard with internal fixed shelf, all complemented by traditional wrought iron fittings.  Malcolm’s trademark foxes face is carved in relief to prominently to the upper front of the glazed cupboard section.

Cleaned and rewaxed in our worlshop it presents in excellent condition in it’s natural medium oak colour.

Malcolm trained and worked at Robert Thompson’s in the 1960s through to 1983 when he established Fox Furniture in Cartlon Husthwaite, adopting the fox signature that Don Craven had  originally established and used  up until his retirement. Malcolm retired  and closed his business about two years ago.
