A wonderful statement pair of bespoke commissioned large oak Candlesticks. Each on an octagonal base with tapering square section column featuring Stanley Webb Davies style thumbnal decorative carving, octagonal top anda brass candle holder / drip tray. Wonderful original condition, just clear re-waxed to remove very minor splash marks.
Excellent provenance : Designed by Peter Jackson, made by Thompson & Jackson of Lancaster and Gary Jackson of Cabus Works, Garstang. Commissioned for Christ Church, Morecambe to match its existing interior fitted out by Stanley Webb Davies in the early / mid 1950s.
