Circa 1970s/80s

An excellent 10″ shallow oak fruitbowl  with a carved and rolled lip from the workshop of ex mouseman craftsman Peter ‘rabbitman’ Heap of Wetwang, near Driffield. Chisel tooled / adzed to the inside and outside of the bowl. Peter found the handcarved rolled edge was very time consuming to carve so they were not made in large volumes.  A large ‘well fed’ rabbit is carved to the centre of the bowl.

Excellent condition, lovely lighter medium oak colour.
