Circa 1960s

A wonderful example of a 12″ Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Oak Breadboard. Subtly adzed to the upper surface, the mouse carved in high relief to the sloped side edge.  Some light knife cut marks on the board evidence old original usage as intended, in more recent years it has been cleaned and waxed for display and presents now  with a medium oak colour which highlights the medullary rays in the quater sawn oak beautifully.
