A beautifully coloured and patinated earlier made Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson  Oak Dining Set, comprising a 6′ table with matching bench seating. Features a refectory  style  dowel topped table with 3 plank adzed top, standing on carved baluster legs  and feet joined by a lower stretcher, a very finely carved mouse in high relief to one leg. Matching adzed bench seats with trestle sides and pegged stretcher, each with a signature carved mouse in high relief.

Wonderful condition with a rich warm darker fumed colour. Privately purchased from the original owners family who advise the set was purchased in 1956, later cleaned and polished back at Robert Thompson’s in the late 1970s. Cherished  from new it presents beautifully with only very minor surface marks on the table and seat tops.
