Circa 1930s/40s

A stunning example of a rare bespoke made Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Oak Mantel Clock with a stepped block work solid oak surround which two beautifully carved mice are climbing. Dark fumed from new the surround has wonderfully rich chestnut brown colour and patina. It’s inset with a stripped and cleaned working clock, a 30 hour British Metamec hand wound mechanical movement which our clock repairer has eventually found for us, which fits the original rear backplate, front dial, chromed bezel and hands.

A superb piece for mouseman collectors.
