An unusual and unique bespoke commissioned desk tidy / pen tray by Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson of Kilburn. Tooled and initialled JTD, dated 1932. Of rectangular stepped form, carved from a block of solid oak, the rear steps having cut out pen rests. An early trademark mouse signature sits prominently on the top, its tail carved draping over the side edge.

Excellent condition and darker fumed rich colour…… a wonderful piece for serious collectors.

Sadly we don’t know its history.
