Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Craftsman’s 2’ Oak Shelf

Stock ref: DS1680

Circa 1970s/early 80s.

An unusually rare opportunity for collectors of Mouseman and the Yorkshire Critters work to acquire a one-off 2′ oak Wall Shelf made ‘out of hours’ for personal family/relatives by former mouseman craftsman Brian Bowes.

Of single plank rectangular construction with curved front corners, 10″ deep, his mouse signature carved into the centre front edge of the shelf. The shelf is supported on shaped brackets with rear metal wall fixings with a small cut-out to the rear right for table lamp or other electrical  wiring to pass through. Privately acquired it has been cleaned and re-waxed it presents in excellent condition.

We are advised Brian joined Robert Thompson’s as an apprentice straight from school in the late 60s, working with them until the mid 1980s, when he left to take over a family owned  joinery business.

Size: 61(w) x 25.5(d) x 16.5(h)cm,  shelf 2cm thick oak.
