Circa late 1940s

A rare bespoke made 8″ Oak Table Lamp  from the workshops of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson.Hand tooled all over it stands on an octagonal base which is faceted and sweeps up the tapered central stem. A signature mouse is carved in high relief to one facet of the table lamp. Beautiful condition, aged colour and patina. 

We can rewire  the lamp for clients if they wish.

Excellent provenance to the estate of Elizabeth Kirk of Kilburn, the Kirk family being farmers and butchers in the village for generations, and friends and neighbours of Robert Thompson. This is one of a number of pieces acquired, we also puchased a number of pieces from her sisters estate  about a year ago.
