Circa 1940s / early 50s

A superb example of the highly sought after early Mouseman fruitbowl, production of which ceased in about 1960 when the design was changed to that which remains in production currently. Subtly adzed to the exterior and tooled to the interior of the bowl
with a particularly fine carved mouse carved to the exterior of the bowl. Lovely naturally rich colour, graining and patina with no  evidence of any damage or previous repairs.
