Circa 1930s

 A unique opportunity to own a rare and early Mouseman reclining reading chair in excellent museum quality, originally one of a pair made by Robert Thompson as a wedding present for his lifelong Kilburn friend Thomas Barker, who had also been Robert’s
best man  at his own wedding.  Complete with signed  provenance from Ian Thompson Cartwright at Thompson’s who recently appeared with this particular chair on the Channel 4 programme Four Rooms. He acquired both chairs in the 1990s from
a descenant of Thomas Barker.  The sister chair is believed to remain in Ian’s ownership.
